The Hanse 418 is a very easy boat to handle when out on the water especially when short-handed, with its single line reefing system (or optional in-mast furling) and the self-tacking jib, sailing up the river is a breeze. When in the marina the ease-of-handling continues especially when accompanied with the retractable bow-thruster.
